Description

Amber is a trauma specialist with over a decade of experience working with complex, high-acuity psychological presentations. She is the former Clinical Director of Khiron Clinics, an internationally recognised leader in trauma recovery and residential mental health treatment, where she directed comprehensive clinical care and oversaw the delivery of bespoke, nervous-system-informed therapeutic services. Her work is defined by precision, depth, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
Trained by leading figures in the global trauma field, including Dr. Janina Fisher, Dr. Richard Schwartz, Dr. Frank Anderson, and Linda Thai, Amber holds a Master’s degree in Gestalt Psychotherapy and is trained in Internal Family Systems, Trauma-Informed Stabilisation Treatment, and Deep Brain Reorienting, with advanced training underway in Somatic Experiencing. Her clinical approach is somatically attuned, relationally sophisticated, and designed to support meaningful, enduring change in even the most intricate presentations.
Originally from Malta, Amber brings a refined international perspective shaped by senior leadership roles, specialist consultation, and frontline therapeutic work across diverse settings. She previously held a senior management position at Victim Support Malta, where she played a key role in establishing one of the country’s first suicide-prevention therapeutic support teams, alongside providing care for survivors of crime, domestic violence, and acute trauma. She has collaborated extensively with NGOs and specialist services internationally and lectured at the University of Malta.
Amber’s practice is characterised by the highest standards of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality. Her relational approach is profoundly attuned and adaptive, meeting each client with discernment and respect, honouring their unique pace and presentation, and fluidly evolving treatment as their inner landscape shifts.
