Operator: Trauma Directory by Trauma Clinic 2.0 is operated by Essentia Psychological Services Co. (Hong Kong SAR), Business Registration No. 56583587-000-08-19-6 (“Essentia,” “we,” “us,” “our”).

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Trauma Directory and associated website(s) operated under Trauma Clinic 2.0 (the “Directory”).

By using the Directory, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

1 | What We Are (and Are Not)

• Directory & resources only. Essentia provides a human-reviewed directory of independent trauma-focused therapists and related resources. Any tiers or suggested care levels are editorial and educational, not certifications or guarantees.

• Not healthcare or emergency service. We do not provide therapy, diagnosis, treatment, crisis support, or supervision. Using the Directory does not create a therapist–client relationship with us.

• No matching, bookings, or payments. We do not match users with therapists, schedule sessions, process payments, or handle insurance. All contact and agreements occur directly between client and therapist.

If you are in crisis, call your local emergency number or crisis line. Do not rely on this site for urgent help.

2 | Definitions

• Client / Therapy-seeker: An individual browsing or contacting therapists via the Directory.

• Therapist / Provider: A mental-health professional listing a profile in the Directory.

• Tiers / Suggested care level: Editorial classifications based on information provided or reviewed; not certification.

• Essentia: Essentia Psychological Services Co. (Hong Kong SAR), BR No. 56583587-000-08-19-6, which operates the Trauma Directory by Trauma Clinic 2.0.
  
  

3 | Eligibility & Acceptable Use

• You are 18 or older and use the Directory for lawful purposes only.

• You will not scrape, copy, or republish content without permission; post false, defamatory, or illegal content; attempt to breach security; or interfere with site functionality.

• We may suspend or remove access for any violation of these Terms.
  
  

Part A – Client Terms

4 | Using the Directory

• Information only. Profiles, tiers, and resources support your own decision-making — they are not medical advice or endorsements.

• Do your own diligence. Verify credentials, licensing, scope, and fit before engaging a therapist. Request their consent and privacy documents directly.

• Bookings & payments. You contract directly with therapists; we are not a party and do not handle cancellations, refunds, or complaints.
  
  

5 | No Warranty

We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any profile or resource, nor the availability, suitability, or effectiveness of any therapist or service. Use of the Directory is at your own discretion and risk. Outcomes are not guaranteed.

Part B – Therapist Terms

6 | Therapist Responsibilities

By listing a profile, you agree to:

• Licensure / registration. Hold valid credentials in each jurisdiction where you practise and comply with all applicable laws and professional codes.

• Insurance. Maintain adequate professional indemnity / malpractice coverage.

• Truthful profiles. Provide accurate, current information and update promptly.

• Scope & standards. Practise within scope; obtain informed consent; maintain records; manage risk and confidentiality; comply with mandatory reporting.

• Payments & contracts. Handle your own bookings, billing, and refunds directly.

• Client data. Use secure channels and protect personal data in line with law, including cross-border data-transfer rules where applicable. You are the data controller for your clinical practice.
  
  

7 | Vetting, Badges & Tiers

• We may review information you provide and assign editorial tiers or badges to aid navigation.

• These are not certifications or approvals.

• We may edit or remove profiles or badges at our discretion (e.g., incomplete data, complaints, or legal risk).

• You must not represent our badges as formal accreditation or supervision.
  
  

8 | Listings, Fees & Removal

• Directory access is free for clients; therapist listings may be free or paid.

• We do not guarantee leads or income.

• Listings may be suspended or removed for breach of these Terms or policy concerns. Refund policies stated on purchase pages prevail.
  
  

Part C – Content, Privacy & Intellectual Property

9 | User Content & Feedback

• By submitting content (profile data, resources, messages), you grant us a non-exclusive worldwide licence to host and display it for operating the Directory.

• You are responsible for its legality and for obtaining any required permissions (e.g., images, logos).
  
  

10 | Privacy (Hong Kong SAR & International)

• We handle personal data in accordance with Hong Kong’s Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) and, where feasible, apply comparable international standards such as the EU GDPR.

• Data controller roles: Essentia is the data controller for membership and administrative data (name, email, practice details, payment identifiers). Individual therapists are independent data controllers for their own clinical records.

• We process limited personal information solely for membership, billing, and administration through secure providers (e.g., Stripe, ConvertKit).

• Client–therapist contact occurs off-Directory; each therapist remains responsible for their own privacy and consent procedures.

11 | Intellectual Property

All brand elements, design, text, graphics, and compilations are owned by Essentia or its licensors and protected by intellectual-property law. No copying or derivative use without written consent.

Part D – Disclaimers, Liability & Disputes

12 | Third-Party Links

Links to external resources are for reference only. We do not endorse or control their content or practices.

13 | Disclaimer of Warranties

The Directory is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

14 | Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Hong Kong law, Essentia is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, reputation, or goodwill.

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to us in the preceding 12 months (if any), or (b) USD 100 (or HKD equivalent).

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Hong Kong law.

15 | Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Essentia harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your misuse of the Directory or, for therapists, your clinical practice and representations.

16 | Changes to the Directory or Terms

We may update the Directory or these Terms at any time. Material changes will be posted with a new effective date. Continued use signifies acceptance of the updated Terms.

17 | Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong SAR, excluding conflict-of-laws rules. You submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong SAR.

Optional: The parties may agree to mediation or arbitration before litigation.

17A | Entire Agreement

These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and Essentia regarding use of the Directory and supersede all prior understandings.
