Description

Nina trained in the UK and has extensive clinical experience, including 19 years working within the NHS. She has worked with children, teenagers and adults across a range of settings, including clinics, schools and hospitals. Before entering private practice, she designed and ran three specialist services supporting families experiencing complex mental health difficulties.
Nina is the Clinical Director of The Other Clinic and The Nest in Singapore, where she works with individuals experiencing trauma, complex emotional difficulties and a range of mental health challenges. Her extensive experience has given her a particular understanding of the ways that trauma can affect emotional wellbeing, relationships, behaviour and a person’s sense of safety and self.
Nina is trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Schema Therapy, as well as ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy). She has also undertaken training in Community Crisis Response. She draws on these approaches to provide trauma-informed, individualised therapy, adapting her work to each client’s needs, history and circumstances.
Since coming to Singapore, Nina has also worked as an Adjunct Associate at the National University of Singapore on the Masters of Clinical Psychology Programme for two years, supervising trainees’ clinical work in local clinics. She continues to supervise trainees and clinicians across Singapore.
